Trakanalytica Academy is a professional training platform dedicated to equipping learners, researchers and professionals with practical, industry-relevant skills in Data Analytics, Statistics, Research and Applied Analytical Technologies.
Trakanalytica Academy is the training and professional development arm of Trakanalytica Data Solutions Ltd. The Academy was established to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and the practical analytical skills required in research, academia, healthcare, business, Monitoring and Evaluation, and other data-driven professional environments.
We believe that becoming a competent analyst or researcher requires more than learning software commands, formulas or procedures. You need to understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, which method is appropriate, how to interpret the results and how to translate those results into meaningful insights and professional outputs. That philosophy shapes every course and program we deliver.
Rather than teaching these areas in isolation, we help participants understand how they work together throughout the analytical process.
From understanding data and developing research questions to data preparation, statistical analysis, modelling, visualization, interpretation and professional reporting, our training develops individuals who approach analytical problems systematically and confidently.
While our training is globally accessible remotely, we also recognize the value of face-to-face learning. Participants in Kenya may have opportunities to attend physical, in-person training when locally arranged.
This gives Kenyan participants the flexibility to learn remotely while also benefiting from physical training opportunities where specific sessions or cohorts are organized locally.
Whether you join us remotely or through an arranged physical session, the objective remains the same: practical, structured and professionally relevant learning.
Trakanalytica Academy is designed as a global learning platform. Our courses and programs are available through 100% remote learning, allowing participants to join available training from Kenya, across Africa and around the world.
Geographical location should not prevent a motivated learner from developing valuable analytical and research skills. Participants can identify a course that matches their learning goals and enroll when the course or program is available within the Academy’s training schedule.
Trakanalytica Academy is building more than a catalogue of courses — we are building a growing community of people developing practical skills in Data Analytics, Statistics and Research. As the Academy continues to grow, we remain committed to reaching more learners in Kenya, across Africa and internationally.
More than 50 individuals have successfully completed training and received certification through Trakanalytica Academy to date.
Our training is facilitated by experienced Data Analysts, Statisticians and Researchers with practical understanding of analytical methods, statistical reasoning, research processes and professional data workflows.
Participants are guided to understand how analytical decisions are made, how methods are applied, how results are interpreted, and how challenges in real-world data can be approached.
Many people begin their Data Analytics journey by learning software — creating dashboards in Power BI, running commands in Stata, performing calculations in Excel, querying databases with SQL, or writing analytical code in R and Python. These are valuable skills. But software alone does not make someone an analyst.
A professional analyst or researcher should also be able to ask:
Trakanalytica Academy exists to help bridge the gap between knowing how to operate analytical tools and knowing how to think analytically.
This simple framework guides how we approach training.
Before applying an analytical method, participants should understand what it means, why it is used and when it is appropriate — without removing the rigor required to apply it correctly.
Participants move from understanding to practical application — working with datasets, analytical software, statistical methods, research scenarios, visualizations, dashboards or other professional analytical tasks.
Running an analysis is not the end. Participants learn to interpret results, evaluate uncertainty, recognize limitations and communicate findings meaningfully to researchers, organizations and decision-makers.
We do not want participants to leave our training knowing only which command to type or which button to click. We want them to understand why they are doing it and what the resulting output means — our goal is independent analytical thinking.
Real-world data are rarely perfect. Depending on the course or program, participants may work with established datasets such as NHANES, MIMIC-IV, SEER and other research or professional datasets, encountering the types of challenges they are likely to face outside the classroom.
From: “I know the command.”
To: “I understand the problem, I can select an appropriate approach, I can perform the analysis, and I can explain the result.”
Trakanalytica Academy provides structured learning opportunities across foundational, applied and specialized areas.
Building the statistical foundations required to understand data, variability, uncertainty and inference — from fundamentals into hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, t-tests, chi-square tests, ANOVA, correlation and regression.
Practical skills for preparing, managing, analyzing, visualizing and communicating data using professional analytical tools.
Connecting analytical skills with research methodology — how research questions, data, statistical methods, interpretation and reporting work together.
Skills in statistical methods, regression modelling, interpretation, diagnostics and other applied analytical techniques.
Deeper training in specific analytical challenges, including Missing Data Analysis, Multiple Imputation and other advanced statistical methods.
Transforming analytical results into clear visualizations, reports and interactive dashboards that support communication and decision-making.
Advanced learning pathways introducing machine learning, predictive analytics and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence.
Emphasizing not only performing analysis, but also producing professional tables, figures, dashboards, reports and research outputs.
Depending on the course or program, participants may gain exposure to analytical and professional tools. Software is treated as a tool for implementing analytical thinking, not as a replacement for understanding the underlying concepts.
Not every learner starts at the same level. Our courses and programs are organized into progressive learning pathways so you can choose a pathway that matches your current level and professional goals.
Build the knowledge required to understand data and statistics. Develop fundamental statistical, analytical and research concepts.
Turn knowledge into practical analytical skills. Work with data, software, statistical methods, visualization and professional research workflows.
Develop deeper expertise in specific analytical methods. Progress into areas such as missing-data analysis and other focused methodologies.
Progress into advanced analytical methods and technologies — statistical modelling, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other emerging areas.
To become a globally recognized training platform that equips individuals and professionals with practical Data Analytics and Research skills for real-world impact.
To deliver hands-on training in Data Analytics, Statistical Analysis and Applied Research using real datasets and industry-standard tools, empowering learners to produce clear insights, professional outputs and high-quality research.
We believe analytical skills are developed through application — combining conceptual understanding with practical exercises, real datasets and professional workflows.
Statistics and Data Analytics should not be made unnecessarily complicated. We explain complex concepts clearly and progressively while maintaining their rigor.
We emphasize appropriate methodology, accuracy, reproducibility and careful interpretation. Producing a result is not enough.
Training should prepare participants for the problems they will encounter outside the classroom, emphasizing practical applications and realistic challenges.
We promote responsible data use, ethical research practices, transparency, originality and professional standards in analytical work.
Data Analytics, Statistics, Research and technology continue to evolve. We encourage participants and facilitators to remain curious and adapt.
Training should ultimately develop independence — the knowledge, confidence and analytical thinking required to approach new problems.
These disciplines are deeply interconnected. Our training helps participants understand how they work together rather than learning each in isolation.
We do not stop at showing how to perform an analysis — we emphasize why the method is used, when it is appropriate and what its output means.
Concepts are reinforced through practical exercises, real datasets and applied analytical problems.
A statistical output is not a conclusion. Participants learn how to move from numbers and software output to meaningful interpretation.
Our facilitators include experienced Data Analysts, Statisticians and Researchers who bring practical perspectives into the learning environment.
Our 100% remote learning model allows participants to join from different geographical locations, with physical training arranged locally for Kenya.
Participants can begin with foundational courses and progressively advance into applied, specialized and advanced training.
Analysis must eventually be communicated. Our training emphasizes clear tables, visualizations, dashboards, reports and research outputs.
Course completion matters, but our broader goal is to develop people who approach analytical problems with structure, confidence and professional judgment.
You do not have to begin as an expert. Our learning pathways allow participants to start at an appropriate level and progress systematically.
Together, these elements reflect what we want Trakanalytica Academy to represent: accessible learning, practical training, professional expertise, global reach and real-world application.
Our remote learning model allows participants to access available courses from Kenya, across Africa and internationally.
Physical training opportunities may be organized locally in Kenya for selected courses, cohorts or training engagements.
Training is facilitated by experienced Data Analysts, Statisticians and Researchers.
